Rob Blair started his broadcasting career when he was 14 interning at a Top 40 radio station in Indianapolis. His senior year of High School he was offered the night time personality at that same station in Indy. From there Rob went westward to attend Chapman University. While attending the university, Rob fulfilled a dream of working on-air at a Los Angeles radio station. His junior year, Rob jumped from radio to television, working as weekend weather anchor at the NBC affiliate in Palm Springs. Rob has also worked in television news and weather in Monterey, Orange County and Las Vegas. He is excited and grateful to be back home in Northern California and having fun on Wake Up! Rob focuses much of his time doing community service. He has volunteered for a group which cares for Alzheimer’s patients and he has also raised thousands of dollars for Big Brothers Big Sisters in Chico. In the past two years, Rob spent some time living in Costa Rica. There, he volunteered his time at an HIV/Aids center as well as working with the homeless.
“Although we have fun on Wake Up every morning, I never forget what a privilege, blessing and responsibility it is to provide Northern California with the most accurate weather forecast, news and information. I have the best job in the world, and it’s an honor,” says Blair.
