17-year-old Kenny Brewer has been going the extra mile for a long time.
Family friend Trish Ables says, "he has since the third grade been a positive role model for Los Molinos"
Kenny was Student Body President last year, his junior year of high school. this year he took a step back, and is "only" Vice President.
His Mom, Jana says, "he's always helping...tutoring...snack bar...teachers with their computer work"
This field on campus hadn't been farmed in over 20 years...Kenny took it upon himself to plant corn, squash, and pumpkins.
Kenny says, "If I can do one little thing...it feels really good to do it"
Kenny has lived in Los Molinos his whole life, and he lives his life in a way that's not typical of someone of his age.
He says, "I like living in Los Molinos...unified a little bit"
Kenny already has some experience in the world of politics...working hard for the rather unique Los Molinos mayor's race...where the candidate who raises the most money for the local 4th of July parade gets to be mayor of the town for the next year. Kenny backed the winner.
Kenny says, "I made extra cans...little things make big things happen"
And Kenny lives this philosophy every day... he volunteers for countless community groups
Kenny says, "I was Tehama County 4-H camp director... key club, Kiwanis, FFA, I help with as much as possible"
Jana says, "I know he's going to be successful at whatever he chooses to do."
