Butte County officials Tuesday released a new draft ordinance to address the issue of cultivating medical marijuana.

The draft ordinance is the latest round in the county's saga of trying to deal with the issue.  Among some of the rules include a six mature plant limit for county parcels between .40 acres and less than 1.5 acres.  The limit jumps to 18 mature plants for parcels between 1.5 acres and 3 acres.

The 40-page document also includes rules on set backs, complaints and how close a parcel can be to a school.

A public hearing has been scheduled Feb. 12.
