A steady stream of cars, some dirty, some already clean, pulled into the Home Depot parking lot in Red Bluff. People handed over bills of $5, $10, $20, and even bigger wads of cash, all in an effort to help cover funeral costs for Marysa's family. One family friend says they raised more than $2,000 in just a few hours. Some, she said, even gave money and turned down the car wash. Says Sheresa Whimore, "I can tell you that the family, they feel so loved, they cry with joy at how the community is coming together." A fund for Marysa has been set up at Wells Fargo, under the Marysa Nichols Benefit Fund.
