Cat Fight Sparks Stabbing

        A Corning woman is being held on one count of attempted murder after she reportedly stabbed her husband during a fight over a cat.
        It all happened at a home on McClane Avenue in Corning around 12:50 a.m. Sunday.
        Tehama County Sheriff's deputies say Mary O'Connor stabbed her husband, Patrick O'Connor several times in the neck and arm during an argument over a cat.
        One of the stab wounds reportedly knicked the 46-year-old's carotid artery and he was taken to St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Red Bluff for treatment.
        There is no word on his condition at this time.
        Mary O'Connor is currently being held in the Tehama County Jail on $500,000 bail.
