A North State woman is behind bars after leading authorities on a chase and crashing a stolen car which burst into flames. The search continues for a man who was also in the car. Around 1 am Friday, a Shasta County deputy tried to make a traffic stop on Hawthorne Avenue in Anderson. The driver led officers on a 20 mile chase that ended on Plantina Road in Ono when the vehicle hit a tree and caught on fire. 20-year-old Jennifer Turman of the City of Shasta Lake was arrested for driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and other charges. The vehicle had been stolen from the City of Shasta Lake.
