A landfill in Butte County is doing a lot more than collect trash, it's now producing clean energy. Officials held a ribbon cutting ceremony Wednesday at the Neal Road Waste and Recycling Facility to celebrate the completion of the landfill gas-to-energy project. The project came to fruition thanks to the partnership between the county and Ameresco, a leading energy efficiency and renewable energy company.
