Corning police are investigating whether a shooting at an apartment on South Street was gang related.
Police say 18 year old Billy Thomvonkham was shot twice in the back while laying on his couch...just after 11:30 last night.
The front door to the apartment, on the 12-hundred block of South Street, was kicked in.
Neighbors heard the shots and heard a vehicle drive away ... But didn't see anything.
Police don't think robbery was the motive and they don't believe this was a random act.
A search of the victims car turned up a 22 caliber bullet and drug paraphernalia.
The shooting is still under investigation. ###
