Redding's famous eagles have their first egg of the year.
Friends of the Redding Eagles reports that Liberty laid the egg at about a quarter after five Wednesday night.
It was captured on the Eagle Cam operated by Turtle Bay.

Liberty and Patriot return to the nest each year to raise their eaglets.
It's located in a tall tree just north of the Highway 44 bridge along the Sacramento River.
