More than 20 cars had their tires slashed and paint "keyed" in Chico overnight.
Police arrested 21 year old Stephen Cheapham ... a Chico State Student ... Thursday afternoon.
He was identified through surveillance video.
The damage is estimated at more than 20 thousand dollars, which makes the crime a felony:
Vandalism victim Krista Haley told Action News, "One of my friends came home and a guy followed her home and wouldn't leave her alone. He got pissed obviously and pulled out a knife and came back and slashed all our tires and all the tires next door in the parking lots."
the vandalism occurred in the area of fourth and hazel streets, south of campus.###
