Shasta county firefighters have containment on a 40 acre fire east of the Coleman Fish Hatchery near Manton.
It started just before 11:30 a.m. Monday along Wildcat Road near Battle Creek Road.
Crews had containment about an hour and a half later.
Shortly after 1:00 p.m. another fire brought crews from Redding, Cal Fire, Happy Valley and Anderson to the Mallory Stake's Company on Eastside Road.
The fire started in a ceramics shop behind Mallory Stake's...and the fire fight was extensive. Crews expect to be on scene until at least 5:00 p.m.##
