Emotional ceremonies Thursday morning honored fallen Red Bluff police officer David Mobilio.
He was killed in the line of duty more than 10 years ago, but just recently freeway signs were added along I-5 honoring the officer.
The first dedication ceremony was held at Bethel Temple in Red Bluff, the second took place at one of the sign locations.
Police Chief Paul Nanfito gave a speech about all that was lost when Officer Mobilio was shot and killed in the line of duty in November 2002.
It was a tearful ceremony especially when Mobilio's wife and son spoke .
The ceremony also honored two Santa Cruz police officers recently killed in the line of duty, Lauren Baker and Elizabeth Butler.
Chief Nanfito finished his dedication by talking about the outpouring of support back in 2002 from Red Bluff High School, and because of that this ceremony also honored Marissa Nichols.##
