The U.S. Bank and streets surrounding it were closed for hours in Downtown Chico Tuesday morning, after a suspicious package was left outside the bank.
The call came in around 8:30 a.m. from the bank on Second Street ... after a green bag was left in front of the building's main entrance doors.
First and Second Streets were blocked off, as were Flume and Wall Streets, and a parking lot across the street.
The bomb squad robot was used, and authorities destroyed the bag.
They determined it contained nothing of significant value, but the owner ... and the contents remain unknown.
