Mary Borchers was best friends with De Anna Lynn Johnson.  In 1982, when the girls were 14, Johnson disappeared after attending a party up the street from her own home.  Johnson was found brutally beaten on the train tracks by her home the next morning.  Her murder has never been solved.
In 2001, Shirley Ann Pratt was found murdered off Vance Road in Oroville.  Her murder has never been solved either.  Borchers says a man living in Biggs is considered a person of interest in both cases.  Borchers often organizes marches through Biggs, raising awareness that the person of interest in two homicides lives in the tiny community.  She hopes both cases will be solved.  There is a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the person responsible for Johnson's murder.
