Her given name is Gabriella, but she goes by "Gabby". This 14 year old is a little shy at first, but quick to smile when she talks about drawing, or her love of animals, "I like animals, horses, cows, dogs, I like living on a farm. I'm a nice person...can have an attitude sometimes."

Gabby is mature forher age, and says she's proud of how she has handled what life has dealt her.

Linda Vaught , a Supervisor with Shasta County Adoptions says, "Gabby is a very likeable girl, a beautiful smile. Artistic, creative, articulate. Makes it known what she wants, very resourceful."

As far as what Gabby is dreaming of for the future? "I want to be an interior decorator, if that doesn't work an artist, if that doesn't work a lawyer...because lawyers make lots of money."

Gabby says she would love to be adopted as an only child, and she describes her ideal family for us, "I'd want a family who's loving of course. Home most of the time, vacations, family trips. Ones who'll love me and will have time for me."
