Lassen volcanic National Park has announced that the winner of the 2013 "Pass Photo Contest" is Oliver Wiegel of Jacksonville, Florida.
Wiegel submitted a magnificent photo titled "Hydrothermal Pools at Bumpass Hell" ... showcasing the park's volcanic scenery.
It's an annual photo contest that's open to the public. This years winner was chosen from more than 100 submissions.
In addition to bragging rights, Wiegel winds a $50 gift certificate from the Lassen Association to use at one of the park bookstores, and the photo is featured on this year's annual pass to the park.
Passes are $25, and are also honored at the Whiskeytown National Recreation Center.
Photos for next year's pass contest will be accepted May 1st through September 9th.
