Heating your home this winter is going cost more than ever.

PG&E has already upped its rates to try and make up for rising power purchase costs.

But you can shave a big chunk off your monthly energy bill by finding out where your home is losing you money. The best way to do this is through a home energy audit.

Community Action Agency will audit your home for free if you are a qualified low-income customer. Below is a list of qualifications for the free audit.

Household:   Monthly gross income:

1-2 people    $2,542

3   people    $2,983

4    people     $3,600

5 People       $4,217

6 People    $4,833

Additional person   + $617

For everyone else they will do the service for a flat rate of $195 dollars.
