PG&E crews are working to restore power to over 9,000 residents and businesses in Chico after a suspected DUI driver hits a power pole in North Chico early Thursday morning.

It happened around 4 o'clock Thursday morning.

PG&E crews are on scene working to replace the power pole.

Eaton Road from Highway 99 to Silverbell Road is currently closed to traffic.

Chico Police arrested a woman about an hour after the accident.

The road is not expected to be back open until sometime later today, and police suggest you use alternate routes to get where you're going.
