Chico Pedestrian In Critical Condition After 'Altercation' With Driver

A pedestrian is in critical condition being hit by a car in Chico.

Witnesses told police it appeared the pedestrian and driver had some sort of confrontation at as the pedestrian crossed the street at Park Avenue and 15th Street around 4 p.m. Thursday.
 
Before the altercation happened, police say William Llamas, 45, of Paradise was stopped at a crosswalk waiting for the pedestrian to cross the street.

The victim suffered head and lower leg injuries and police say the injuries are life threatening.
