Outrage!
That's the reaction from family and friends of the cyclist killed after being struck by a Gridley businessman.
Anton Mardesich was sentenced to one year in jail and five years probation this afternoon for a hit and run that left Rick Magee dead November 14th.
The probation department had recommended a six month jail sentence after the 71-year-old pleaded guilty to the hit-and-run charges.
Magee's friends and family sent the court more than 50 letters asking for the maximum six year sentence, pointing out that Mardesich made the decision to leave Magee lying on the side of the road and then tried to cover up his crime.
