Chico firefighters were called to a home on Cohasset Road Saturday evening, after the residents used a heater to dry marijuana on top of paper too close to a heater. The paper caught fire, but crews were able to keep it from spreading. Police say at least one of the residents had a Medical Marijuana ID card, so they did not issue any citations. But safety officials did warn the residents not to use a heater to dry their marijuana.
