The husband of a Tehama County daycare provider has been charged with three counts of child molestation involving at least one victim.
Ralph Elvis Martin was taken into custody Thursday while appearing in Tehama County Superior Court where he was charged with oral copulation of a child under 10; forcible oral copulation of a child under 14 and lewd and lascivious conduct of a child under 14 years old. His bail was set at $2 million.
District Attorney Greg Cohen said the arrest stems from Martin's access to a child while at the Country Kids Daycare in Gerber, which his wife operates. Cohen said further investigation has identified more victims and more charges are expected to be lodged against Martin.
