A missing person investigation out of Fontana, California leads to the discovery of a double murder in a Magalia marijuana garden.
Butte county Sheriff’s Officials only released the information today, that deputies located human remains last week near a shallow grave … at a 28 thousand plant pot grow … near Doon Grade and Coutelenc Roads.
A more thorough search using cadaver dogs then led to addition remains … from another victim.
The following investigation determined both victims were shot to death . The suspect was identified as 21 year old Joel Beltran from Pomona. Beltran was taken into custody in San Bernardino County on Tuesday July third, and will be brought back to Butte County to face charges.
The victim’s names won’t be released until they are positively identified, and family is notified.
