A Forebstown man remained in critical condition Thursday after being found bound and beaten Thursday morning. An arrest was also made Thursday.
Joseph Paul Baker, 25, faces charges of attempted murder and kidnapping of Rigoberto Lopez, 37. Lopez was discovered Thursday morning badly injured and tied up against the Forbestown Community Center. He was flown to Enloe Medical Center in Chico.
Baker was arrested following questioning Thursday at the Butte County Sheriff's Office. Investigators have not said if more arrests are expected but they do hope to serve several search warrants by Friday.
