An investigation is unfolding in Magalia after a mother and her son were found dead in their home Thursday afternoon. According to Butte County investigators, a man came home from work around 12:30 Thursday, and found his wife dead, and his son severely injured. Investigators say the son died a short time later while still at the home.
The woman has been identified as Kelly LeRoux, and her son has been identified as Travis LeRoux.
A cause of death has not been determined, but investigators say they were both shot. It is not clear if this was a murder/suicide. The Butte County Sherrif's Office is processing the scene.
