An 82-year-old man was found dead after an early morning house fire in Paradise. The fire broke out just before 2am Friday, at a home on Crestmoor Drive. Firefighters found the victim lying on the floor of the home.
An electrical cord running underneath a couch failed and caught fire. Investigators say there was a smoke detector in the home, but there were no batteries in it.
