The driver of a car ... trying to avoid a crash ... careened off the road and down an embankment Wednesday morning on Interstate Five north of Redding.
The accident happened around 10:40 a.m. At Oasis Road.
Officers say a blue sedan was traveling north when it was cut off by a white car ... possibly a Chevy Celebrity.
The driver of the blue sedan tried to avoid a collision and ended up swerving off the road and down an embankment.
They were transported to the hospital with back and neck pain.
The CHP says this is a "no-contact hit-an-run" and the driver of the white car is wanted for questioning.##
