An SUV crashed through the front doors of a Chico Liquor store Friday morning.
Firefighters say a woman was pulling into a parking space at East Avenue Liquors when she accidentally hit the gas pedal, sending the SUV through the glass doors.
The 52-year-old driver told firefighters she was wearing new shoes she wasn't familiar with, and they caught the gas pedal creating the problem.
The vehicle made about nine feet into the store, in addition to travelling across 17 feet of sidewalk.
The owner and two customers were inside at the time, but no one was hurt.
The store will be closed for the rest of the day as the city building inspector works to determine if there was any structural damage .###
