The Butte County Sheriff's Office has arrested a Butte County man on suspicion of murder for killing his mother at her west Chico home.
Investigators are not releasing the name of the suspect, but sources tell Action News that the suspect is the son of the victim, his 56-year-old mother.
Sheriffs were called to the home Tuesday afternoon after friends said she did not show up for work.
The victim was found dead at her home located in the Holly Brook subdivision, south of West Sacrament Avenue.
