CLAREMONT, Calif. (AP) — Authorities say a 79-year-old woman has died after being struck by a commuter train in Claremont.
Claremont Police Lt. Jon Traber says the collision occurred Wednesday afternoon about a hundred yards from the Metrolink station.
The victim was declared dead at the scene. Her name is being withheld pending notification of family.
Passengers were transferred to another train.
