Recap: CS-Northridge vs. Cal Poly

Northridge, CA (Sports Network) - Josh Greene led all scorers with 23 points as the Cal State-Northridge Matadors defeated the Cal Poly Mustangs 94-81 in Big West Conference Action at the Matadome.

Vinnie McGhee scored 19 points and dished out seven assists for CS-Northridge (7-17, 3-10 Big West) and Stephen Maxwell tallied 16 points and 12 rebounds. Stephan Hicks added 13 points for the Matadors, who snap a four-game losing streak.

For Cal Poly (15-12, 6-7), David Hanson went for 16 for points and Chris Eversley and Amaurys Fermin netted 15 apiece.

Cal Poly shot an impressive 57.7 percent from the floor in the first half, but CS-Northridge connected on 62.5 percent of its field goal attempts and took a 44-43 lead into halftime.

While the Mustangs cooled to 35.5 percent from the field after the break, the Matadors stayed hot at 52 percent shooting overall and pulled away late.

CS-Northridge held a commanding advantage on the boards, 35-25.
