Recap: Colorado vs. San Diego
Scottsdale, AZ (Sports Network) - Wilin Rosario punctuated an eight-run seventh inning with a three-run homer and the Colorado Rockies pounded the San Diego Padres, 11-2, in Cactus League play.
Rosario added an RBI single for the Rockies, who produced the first five runs in the seventh without a hit. The inning featured a pair of bases-loaded walks sandwiched around a hit batsman followed by a sacrifice fly. Another run was scored off a throwing error on a stolen base.
Jeremy Guthrie started for Colorado and gave up two hits -- one of them a home run by Cameron Maybin to begin the game -- over four innings.
Starter Cory Luebke limited the Rockies to one hit in three scoreless frames.
