Minneapolis, MN (Sports Network) - San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan will not play in Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after re- injuring his left knee over the weekend.

Duncan had sat out four consecutive games with a sore left knee before returning to action for Saturday's 96-86 win over Washington. The 14-time All- Star played just 14 minutes, however, before exiting with a knee sprain as well as a mildly sprained right ankle following a second-quarter collision with the Wizards' Martell Webster.

An MRI taken Sunday did show no structural damage, however, and Duncan did participate in Wednesday's shootaround before being ruled out.

Manu Ginobili will be inactive against the Timberwolves as well as he continues to recover from a tight left hamstring. The veteran guard has missed five of the Spurs' last nine outings with the injury, but also took part in Wednesday's shootaround.
